CENTRAL REGISTRATION PLACE 16th and 17th May 2019
Park Inn Hotel Prague is the base venue for all participants and organisation team of the District Conference throughout the week. From Thursday 16th May afternoon, this will be the main central registration place for participants (don’t forget to register your arrival in Prague here and collect your conference materials).
There will be a small conference room for all kinds of meetings and for the press as well as for the organisation team. Guided tours and walks around Prague as well as trips outside of Prague will meet by the hotel reception.
Those staying here will be: RI President’s Representative, District Governor, DG Advisory Council members, Past District Governors and District Leaders. The hotel has enough room for all these and other Conference participants at a CONFERENCE DISCOUNT RATE.
The hotel offers comfortable surroundings both for accommodation and for dining. Those who are first to register will have a room in the higher floors with a view of Petřín, and maybe even a terrace. The rooms are rather atypical for a modern hotel. They have high ceilings and large windows. This is because the building is a historical monument built in 1907 for one of the largest printing works in the Austro Hungarian Empire and later Czechoslovakia. Graphic operations always required above else, lots of light. The main building of these printing works were built by František Zvěřina with a modern reinforced concrete frame, as well as with electricity. The Art Nouveau facade was created by Karel Hermann and its one of the few examples left of Art Nouveau architecture in the Czech Republic. More on the building’s history: Czech Graphic Union
PARK INN HOTEL PRAGUE was opened in 2009 in an area which is the historical heard of Prague as identified in the List of World cultural and natural heritage sites of UNESCO.
